Caring Parent Designs was started by Carl and Keri Holmgren in the summer of 2003. We saw a need for a device to keep the buckles of car seats and booster seats from getting hot enough to burn children. Our children were the inspiration for the Comfaset™, the cool car seat cover. One day, after having been out of the car for a few hours, we were in the process of putting our children back into their car seats when our daughter screamed at us. She said that the buckles were hot and asked us why we didn't do something to stop that from happening or cover them with something to protect them. Keri then looked up over the car and stated, "Hey, we need to create a car seat cover just for this purpose", and thus the Comfaset™ was born.
